Lunch visit: “Erwin Olaf”

The Photoclub organised a lunch visit to the Photomuseum of The Hague for the 28th of March 2019.

The exhibition is focused on Erwin Olaf, one of the Netherlands’ most famous photographers, known also for the recent portraits of the royal family.

The exhibition focuses on Olaf’s love of his craft and his transition from analogue photojournalist to digital image-maker and storyteller. Olaf brought himself together some twenty photographs by famous photographers of the past who have been a vital source of inspiration to him.

Johan Castellanos is an autonomous photographer who chose his own life as subject to explore and (eventually) expose through photography. It’s his dreams, fantasies, fears, wishes, frustrations; the secret parts of his life are the fundamentals of his images.

The theme of PHOTEX 2017 is Reflections. Please, be reflective, watch reflections, make reflections, use mirrors, water, the sky, yourself and friends or whatever you feel like. Interpret ReflectionS in any way you like, be it literally, metaphorically, compositionally, technically, socially, linguistically, etc.

Whatever makes sense to you and helps you create your pictures is welcome! Other submissions are welcome, too.
